Vintage trunk whip , made of holly (common known as rose bush), with rabbit bite between the handle and the stick , with leather handle and sharp silver cap, one with a inscription “D.H.R. Wingfield”. L = 1,85 meters and white lash from kangaroo leather with a 0,83 meter goose feather interior and braided with linen. Signed by “ CALLOW & SONS, PARLANE LONDON”, with the wear and tear of the passage of time. Signed by “ CALLOW & SON, PARKLANE LONDON” Mr. Callow was a famous horse riding whip manufacturer in Park Lane, London, who made whips of the highest quality and caliber. Callow & Son, made a whip for Princess Alexandra, wife of King Edward VII, known as an incredible rider. As a thank you to that whip, Callow & Son, you received a letter of congratulations from the royal house and signed by Admiral Sir FT Hamilon, which says: “Mr. Callow The whip has given great satisfaction and has been greatly admired. The princess was delighted and I think she’s the prettiest I’ve ever seen. The proportions were fine, and the length was correct.
